Siliguri Mission News Update
Siliguri is one the rapidly growing city in West Bengal with the population more than one million. Bengali people being the native and predominant, along with many other group of people such as Biharis, Nepalis , Marwaris, Adivasis and Rajbongshi. Bengalese, Marwaris, Biharis and Rajbongshis are the least evangelized group of people. Bengalese has only 0.72% Christians worldwide. Whereas there are at least 5% of Christians from Nepali and Adivasis group which constitute the Christian group. Seeing the need to we have started working among Bengalese, Biharis and Rajbongshis by sending our full time missionaries to work among these group of people.
Below are few pictures of the outreach during the month of June 2020. One of our missionary Mr.M. Ganguly is working among Bengali group of people in Krishnanagar, which is in the Outskirts of Siliguri. There were no believers in this place and Mr.M. Ganguly along with his team are visiting house to house sharing gospel and praying for the sick. Please pray for people below on photos and for church in this town.
Parnuranjan and his wife Archana are from Krishnanagar, a little bit outside the city Siliguri. They are being followed up by our evangelist and have recently accepted Jesus. His leg got infected and suddenly fell off one night and because of the lockdown he couldn't get any medical help. We are constantly praying for him and his family, and looking for possible ways to put some prosthetics, also we have been extending medical help.
While going around Krishnanagar, we came across many children with disabilities, mainly mute children we are keen in helping them and have been following their families and them regularly.
Saroj a 4 years old boy from Krishnanagar little bit outside the city Siliguri. He cannot speak and we are praying for a miracle in his life, he with is family is being followed up by one of our evangelist.
Sumanta Mandal also from Krishnanagar. He also cannot speak and we are praying for him and his family.
Sourav from Krishna Nagar, near Siliguri city is suffering from epilepsy and was not able to speak for the past 4 years. Praise God now he has started to speak little by little as an answer to our prayers. He and his Family are being continuously reached out.
Chandani along with her husband Subhas are residents of Krishnanagar. They have been married for the past 11 years and couldn't have any child. They are praying for a child and for her family situation.
Shahani is a resident of Krishnanagar and her son stammers and we have been praying for him continuously and his condition is getting better day by day.
