School Ministry

We believe that education can bring transformation in the community. There are many marginalized backward poor people who do not afford to receive education. To demonstrate the love of God, we felt the responsibility to provide education to these people group. Right now Ray of Hope is running two small schools in India among the tea garden laborers and poor villagers.

a. India

Subolvitta Ray of Hope Mission School

We started this school on year 2014 with 27 students located in India-Nepal border. Now we have 100 students in this school upto grade five. The school is trying to provide good education with all born again teachers. Teachers have the opportunity to minister to these little children as none of them are from christian background.
Many parents are asking for boarding facility where we can bring in the children and groom them in the Lord.

Chongthung, Darjeeling

This school started recently (2015) in Chongtung, Darjeeling which lies in the Hill Station. All the students are children of tea garden labourers who earn just USD 1.5 each day for their hard work.  Many parents of these children are alcoholic and have no awareness of providing good education to their children. As a result, the lives of these precious children are at risk. That is why we saw the need to step in and become a blessing to them. The Bible is taught as one of the subjects. It is very important, especially if we take in to account that 90% of the students are Hindus and Buddhist.

b. Nepal school

We started this school in the year 2012 with the same vision to bless this precious generation and raise up the next generation of leaders in Damak (a small city in eastern Nepal with half million population). Currently there are more than 250 students where 50 of them are provided completely free education. On top of these, we also provide free education to the children of pastors and missionaries of all churches. Due to this school, many children in 6th to 7th grade have given their lives to the Lord.

The school is growing and it needs land and its own building as the building is on leased land. The mission also needs volunteer teachers who can come help there in the various fields including administration, teaching, and health. The Nepal Ray of Hope Mission office continues to supervise this school administration.

Below are few pictures of our Damak school in Nepal. There are 235 students out of which 39 are given free education. There are 20 school staffs.

Bible Verse For You!

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. (Col.3:5)
